49er RV Ranch
49er RV Ranch
Is the 49er RV Ranch the oldest campground in California?
In 1852, this ranch provided covered wagon travelers camping while prospecting Columbia's gold.
Today, travelers in modern RVs enjoy the same "Old Ranch Hospitality" while reliving gold rush history in Columbia State Historic Park or visiting Yosemite.
Huell Howser filmed a feature for his popular PBS-TV series "California's Gold" at this ranch. Huell was intrigued with how the Meissner family preserved the functional ambiance of historical barns, ranch house and interesting artifacts while providing modern amenities such as: WiFi, Cable TV, Full 50 amp Hookups, Club Rooms with kitchens and wide screen TV, Store, Laundry, Gold Panning by a Water Wheel and Miner's Cabin and more.
49er Staff are eager to greet and help RVers onto their site, orient them to more than they have time for, and make their visit one they will want to repeat often. Visit - enjoy Full Service "Old Ranch Hospitality!"
